About

Hi, I’m Ebenezer.
I’m a Data Analyst and Automation Engineer at Dangote Cement Plc, working in the AI and Digitization department. I’m based in Ibadan, Nigeria.
What I Do
I work on data and automation projects across plants in Pan-Africa. Day to day, this involves KPI monitoring for existing initiatives, high-level production reporting, designing database structures for MIS reporting, and developing statistical and machine learning models for faliure prediction.
Background
I studied Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Kebbi State University of Science and Technology, graduating in 2022. Before my current role, I went through the Dangote Cement Graduate Trainee Program, where I rotated across manufacturing stages including the raw mill, kiln, cement mill, and packing plant. I also spent time as an Instrumentation Engineer during my NYSC year, working with VFDs and soft starter drives.
What I’m Learning
I’m interested in how machine learning solves problems in the process industry, especially for faliure prediction and predictive maintenance. I write about what I learn here, partly to share and partly to think things through.
Skills
Python, SQL, Power BI, DAX, Power Query, Excel, Microsoft Fabric plus a fair bit of hands-on experience with industrial control systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA).
